Classic Kenya Safari Kenya 8 days from £3475 per person Days 1 and 2 - London/Nairobi/Lewa Fly from London to Nairobi and then fly on to Lewa Downs. Representatives from Sirikoi Lodge will be at the airstrip to meet you and transfer you on a game drive to the lodge. Day 3 - Lewa Downs Enjoy your first full day on safari with morning and evening game drives. Activities are plentiful at Sirikoi with game walks, drives, helicopter trips and camel treks all available. Alternatively simply relax and soak up Sirikoi's stunning setting. Day 4 - Lewa Downs/Masai Mara After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to the Masai Mara National Park. Set on the banks of the Mara River, Sanctuary Olonana is in the heart of Kenya's big game country, and you should encounter plenty of game on the journey from the airstrip to camp. Sanctuary Olonana will be your home for the following three nights. Upon arrival and orientation, there will be plenty of time for an afternoon game drive. Days 5 and 6 - Masai Mara Each day's schedule is up to you: drive into the National Park with a picnic lunch, or make the most of Sanctuary Olonana's position in a Conservation Area by setting out on foot, accompanied by a skilled ranger and an armed guide. The area's Maasai are partners in Sanctuary Olonana so you are sure of a welcome if you choose to visit the local manyatta to learn more about their pastoral way of life. Every night has a dinner party atmosphere where drinks are served on the long sundeck overlooking the hippo-filled river followed by guests and guides dining together in a warm and convivial atmosphere. Day 7 - Masai Mara/Nairobi A final early start allows time for one last morning game drive before transferring back to the airstrip for the scheduled flight to Nairobi. If an early morning game drive is too strenuous, then perhaps spare some time with one of the camp's guides to learn more about some of the many fabulous conservation projects in operation at Olonana. Upon arrival in Nairobi there will be time for dinner at any of Nairobi's top restaurants before the late-night British Airways flight to London. Day 8 - London Arrive in London early morning. This itenerary and price is a guide as all trips can and usually are tailored fro you.

Travel Guide Weather The main tourist season is in January and February, when the weather is hottest and driest. At this time, the animals in the wildlife parks tend to congregate more around the watercourses, making them easier to spot. However, the parks can get crowded and rates for accommodation soar – also make sure you avoid Christmas and Easter unless you want to pay much higher prices. From June to October, the annual wildebeest migration takes place, with thousands of animals streaming into the Masai Mara National Reserve from the Serengeti. During the long rains (the low season, spanning from March to the end of May) things are much quieter. Wildlife is harder to spot and mosquitoes are rife, a combination that keeps most tourists away. Currency Currency – Kenyan shilling (KSh) About No other country on earth can offer the visitor as much to see and do.
